Appscio MPF Open Source Project

The Appscio™ Media Processing Framework (MPF) is a unique, new software framework.  It is designed as an open source, standards-based platform for configuring media processing pipelines combining best-of-breed semantic media (audio and video) algorithms with mature libraries of CODECs and other low-level algorithms compatible with GStreamer.  Semantic algorithms are those designed to extract structured "semantics" (metadata representing words, objects and object behaviors) from unstructured media channels.

This section of the site provides more background on the problems the Appscio™ MPF is designed to solve, the basics of it's architecture and other relevant aspects of the technology.  Today the open source project is being conducted as a closed, beta project.  During this phase of the project access to software and documentation downloads, blogs, discussion forums and issue tracking is restricted to registered users.  If you are interested in participating in the Beta and have specific semantic media experience, please let us know who you are, what you'd like to do and how to reach you.  Email us at: info@appscio.com
